I always have short hrs sleep,,,
i havent had a decent sleep 4 along time !!
so i say 2 days

I've gone around 78 hours straight in college.
In the Army I"ve gone 8 days in the field with under 16 total hours and was 100% functionalble. Even my Sgt was impressed he knocked out hard on the 7th day.
edit, Sorry big Santa guy above me your wrong, the human body can be conditioned to do almost anything, yes an average person with no training can't go 3 days without drugs but caffeine is a hell of a drug. Military is just trained to go sleepless, sometimes missions dictate you have to.

In college I stayed awake for 6 days once. Im not really sure how, because now it sounds impossible to me. Now if I dont get 8 hours of sleep every night, I cant function!

It is possible, I have done it without any kind of "special" drink or medicine. I was having a rough period of time, and was use to staying up 20-30 hours without sleep because of summer vacation.

About 24 hours when I used to work the graveyard shift and got hooked on caffeine.

24 hrs.. just a couple of months ago a dude died playing PC games in Japan.. he was up 3 days straight.. that was crazy as hell.. I try to get to sleep within 20 hrs now

36 hours, I had this big exam to study for, Vivarin was my best friend in college...
Paid the price afterwards! Messed up my sleeping habits
