I just received an email from a guy at work, my manager was c.c.'d in it. I sent my manager an email back saying "oh my god did you see this guys shoes today (Jesus creepers and sandals), not only is he the most arrogant man ive ever met but he has no fashion sense whatsoever!". Little did i know that i had actually sent it to HIM as well as my manager. Im gutted! Am i the only person that does things of this nature?

I usually manage to do it verbally - i had the head of buying behind me the other week just as i was saying how useless he is and how the department need sacking and starting again!

The only thing i tend to do wrong on emails is the odd wrong word. I signed and email 'KING RETARDS' instead of 'KIND REGARDS (easy to do if you look where the keys are) and i up 'RECAP THE OTTER' instead of 'RECAP THE OFFER' in a design brief once....obviously the designers took the p1ss and designed the pack with an otter in the middle wearing a big red hat!!

I sent a VERY sexy email to the man who is now my husband, but at the time I didn't want the hassle from my family about "when are you going to get married" crap, so they didn't know about him yet. But somehow the email must have clicked on my DAD's email because he got the sexy email too. Was I red-faced when he wanted to know WHO I was sending that to!!! sheesh! So nope, you aren't the only one who does things like that!!! But since you KNOW that the guy you were talking about would see it, you should be the better person and go and apologize to him for what you wrote. I'm sure he was hurt by your comment... ♥

Haha, Im sorry, that really sucks but its funny. I think people do that a lot.. Anytime I send anything sensitive like that I always check the addresses it is being sent to before I hit send. Let this just be a lesson to ya.

Ha Ha. The best thing you can do is brazen it out and stand by your comments. Lack of fashion sense is wrong and unfair to other colleagues and jesus creepers sandals should be banned by law. SO SAY THE FASHION POLICE!!!!!!

i was a suprvsr in a call center and i had a few of my employees do this by mistake i just delete the message and ignore it. hopefully he is mature enough to do the same.
why are people on here so negged out on this question? they act like you created a federeal offense.
go to your bosses desk and let him know what you did and that you will not utilize the companies email for these purposes any more. unless you think he is leinant and will overlook it!

Your cover is blown. Now everyone knows you judge people, and worse yet, there's proof...look for a different job and stop sending e-mails that insult your co-workers, that doesn't make for a good work environment, and people won't want to work with you. Talk less & listen more.

Everyone has a "foot in mouth" moment from time to time. Now just make it right and own up to it and move on and next time, check the list of receivers.

Well maybe now he will get a clue and add some fashion into his life. EVERYTHING happens for a reason. That is funny though lol. To ease the tension...... maybe you should tell him "nice shoes" and see what he says.

Not not at all, dont worry. I drew a pic on my computer at work of someone sticking up a middle finger and meant to send it to my friend for a laugh, it went to a whole department. Tried to recall it but i was too late !

Gotta be careful on what you put in email and who it is sent to. You realise that there is someone at your company that can look up your account (including sent emails) if they have reason to?
