Yes Hire a personal injury attorney ASAP.. Just to let you know Insurance companies usually pay out 2.5- 5.0 times the total cost of a car accident and all the bills, if time from work was missing, for example:
ER Visit: 1,000 Dollars
Chiropractor: 1,000
Car Damage to your car: 1,000
Missed work: 1,000
Total bills 4,000
you should expect 10,000-20,000 for your claim.. The amount depends alot of how long were you unable to work.. If you didn't miss a day of work, then expect less money that would be more in the range of your bills plus some money for your pain and time..

Call the state dept of insurance in your state to ask if it's legal for them to apply ER reimbursement to chiro. If they have to cover costs for a licensed chiro. Do they have the # statute they're referring to.
You need to follow up with MD get prescription for physical therapy which should be covered by auto insurance. Get notes from neurologist &/or orthopedist of physical findings.
Keep a daily journal of when & what pain you feel & to what degree. Include transportation costs to/from medical appts., pharmacy, etc. Keep record of meds you are taking. Days out of work, etc.
Get an injury lawyer who accepts contingency fees.
Keep records of everything because if you go to court, it will be a long time and you won't remember things.
Do you live in a no fault state?

Take your sweet time. It's in your best interest to stall them. When they push you to settle tell them all your treatments are not complete. If they are admitting 100% fault they will pay your full emergency bill and the Chiro bill too. As yes, they should pay your missed wages too. Stall them until you know the full extent of your injuries and all your bills.

Your insurance company should be able to give you proper guidance. Ask them. Most insurance does not cover a chiropractor, they believe it is not real medical treatment. Contact a lawyer is the best bet. Pain and suffering form the accident and mental torment form the insurance company.

They will tell you whatever they want, until you hire an attorney. Once you do that, you will get better results. Its easy to find an attorney who will take an insurance case on contingency that you don't pay unless he/she wins the case for you.

Yeah, leave the insurance companies alone now and head straight to an injury lawyer--a good one of course!
