y = -x
y = -x -4

These lines are parallel - they have the same slope (-1) and differing intercepts. There is no (x,y) solution for this set of equations.

y=2x + 7
y=2x - 3

These lines are also parallel - they have the same slope (2) and differing intercepts. There is no (x,y) solution for this set of equations either.

What's the question?

Is it "solve these systems of equations"? In that case, others have shown you that there is no solution to either.

But perhaps you were asked "graph each pair of equations on the same axes"

Or perhaps it was "find the slope and y intercept of each"

Or maybe " what is the geometric relationship between the pair of lines described by each set of equations"

Or perhaps: "which of these pairs of lines are parallel?

I assume there were some directions you were supposed to read. Those directions are part of the math problems!

Those are not hard problems.

Put them = to each other and solve.
