I have spent so much money buying games for my girlfriend to play. She has enjoyed games such as:
Sims 2 (PC)
Disney princess: enchanted journey (ps2)
eledes (wii)
mario kart double dash (gamecube)
rayman ravin rabbits (ps2)
Tomagotchi corner shop (DS)
Surely there are plenty of games that girls liked, please help me find more. I love her and want her to enjoy fun computer games.

Like HilPoof mentioned, there is no set "type" of game girls like, we all have different tastes. I tend to prefer RPGs, action/adventure, platformers, and racing. I'll list some of my faves in each genre.
RPGs (all for PS2)
Final Fantasy X & XII
Dragon Quest VIII
Dark Cloud 2
Star Ocean - Till the End of Time
Action/adventure:
God of War 1 & 2 (PS2) I'm not sure if all women like the GoW games. They are quite violent, and there is some female nudity. I just really enjoy the mythological storyline and the great gameplay.

Ico (PS2)
Devil May Cry 3 (PS2)
Resident Evil 4 (horror/shooter) (Gamecube & PS2)
Platformers (all PS2):

I also love the Sims 2, I have all the expansion packs. I've also enjoyed Rollercoaster Tycoon and Sim City in the past. I find games that are visually appealing more interesting. If she likes online games she should try ToonTown--I know it sounds kiddie but people of all ages play it and it's really fun. Paper Mario for gamecube or wii is really good. OOh and ZELDA, can't forget Zelda, one of my fave games--Ocarina of Time (either NIn64 or GameCube) and Twilight Princess (Wii) . Another old all time fave is Shenmue--it came out first on the Dreamcast and Shenmue II came out on XBOX--if you have those systems you HAVE to give it a try. I also am a big fan of the Tony Hawk games. Btw, I'm 26 and have been playing games for 20 years ;) Hope this helps!

I play every genre except FPSs (and that's only because they give me motion sickness).
Girls like what they like. There's no all-encompassing "girly" genre; it depends on the girl. It sounds like she likes a pretty wide variety of games. Just get her something that got good reviews and she'll probably like it.

so buy her something like pooh,or the lion king game
