we have to write 1500 words essay about britishness. i thought it would be ok to write about the song Anglia from Laibach, but dunno if there'll be enough to write about.. do u have any suggestions?
my other idea is not so original as it was suggested by the teacher: Changing image of the monarchy: a case study of The Queen.
if u have any comments or further suggestions for other topics, i would appriciate it. tkx

Britshness was driven by the upper classes and those that aspired to be like them. The etiquette of an English Lady or gentleman was drummed into them at their boarding school or finishing school and then taken-up by others who learned from them. So you could look into how these rules changed over the years. Most of the early etiquette was based on what happened around the king or queen of the time.

i think of that's an extension of the poodle tactic in taking a stand way too late against Muslims. some time past a decision became made that we are to have a multi racial, multi cultural society. i don't prefer to remark on despite the fact that if that's stable or incorrect however the government of as we talk desires to the two relatively help that concept or be elementary sufficient to assert that they now not prefer that. extremely of being elementary, the government is now preaching equality, tollerance and integration with freedom to stick to despite the fact that faith one chooses yet without warning identifying that non secular symbols like Muslim veils are 'devisive' and that 'Britishness' now desires to assessment in faculties. they say they are going to be coaching that Britishness now stems from different countries as properly as our own yet that it's going to incorporate British background, background and lifestyle. Frankly i don't think them. i think of that that's going to likely be greater nationalism taught below the conceal of integration. a minimum of Hitler and Stalin stood up and reported what they believed in and that i want that the alternative became not the variety of sly hypocracy we've.

I think that Britain's greates asset is it's eccentrics. You could write a marvellous essay about the impact of successful British eccentrics on the world at large.

We British are known for our sense of fair play, our "stiff upper lip" (not showing our emotions) our good manners and courtesy. These days they seem to be slipping. Ideas like" it's the taking part that counts, not the winning" Forming an orderly queue. Hope this helps.

I think a good topic would be to compare what used to be britishness and the dilution that has occurred in our current multi cultural society.

How about how 'Britishness' has changed (voluntarily and involuntarily (by Blairism etc.)) since New Labour came to power and allowed the uncontrolled flood of immigrants into OUR country and how it is likely to change in the future through calls by immigrants for us to change (our laws to suit them etc).
