What owns me is desire. I desire many things, many material things and many immaterial ones. Until we have mastered to purge ourselves from desire and become pure of thought, we shall never be free. Denial is not the answer for denial is the desire to not desire, but neither is a monotonous routine so bland it will transform us into lifeless husks. No, my friend. The answer lies in death.

My Significant Other and I are in the "lifestyle" -- BDSM. I am the proudly owned slave of MasterDWC. Literally. It isn't legal, of course, but it IS consensual and W/we have a signed Master/slave contract. In order to be BDSM it MUST be consensual, otherwise it's abuse. So it isn't WHAT owns me, but WHO!

If it is true that "perception is reality", then whoever or whatever you perceive to "own you" does own you.

How you perceive yourself, however, will "drive you" to make the choices you select; and that would seem to suggest that you "own yourself".
