Leave the snake alone. You'll only be bothering her by checking and trying to move a natural thing along. Sometimes it takes many days for them to shed. She'll come out when ready and you'll see the shedding. No use in keeping the shedding in the tank but I will tell you my son put his along with the date in a photo album and it's pretty cool seeing how much bigger they get over the years.

it depends on the size of the snake as for how long it takes to shed. a hatchling baby, maybe upto a week, a adult, can be anywhere up to 2 or even 3 weeks to shed. just leave him / her alone as you will end up stressing the snake out and risk getting yourself bitten if the snake strikes out of fear.
as for shedding, snakes normally shed over night, so you will be ok to remove the shed the following morning, but it doesn't really matter when you remove it, be it the first 10 seconds or the first 10 days after shedding either way it wont bother the snake, however i remove my shed from the tanks asap just to keep the tanks looking clean and tidy.

I have a yellow rat snake 6ft 7in shedding is usually 5-7 days and a Great Plains rat snake 5ft 4in shedding 7-10 days.
So it depends on the size so anything from 5-14 days.

No leave her alone whilst she's shedding. Ours gets really grumpy - he hides under the newspaper and hisses and rattles his tail! Takes a couple of weeks for him to shed. He's always "starving" after hes shed so she will most likely eat afterwards. Doesnt matter about the skin take it out when you can just for neatness.

It depends on the snake....sometimes it takes a lil longer than others....do you have enough roughage in her cage for her to slither up against to help with her shedding? example her hiding log?....also humidity plays a good factor...are the humidity levels correct for her to shed? and yes the snake will not eat when they are in their shed time...just leave her be until she FULLY sheds...some of my snakes are grumpy when they want to shed and are being bothered as well..so leave her be...and you can remove the shedded skin after she's removed it...you don't have to do it right then and there but it would be best to remove it when you can....
happy slithering ;)

Just leave her in peace, she will come out when ready, from knowledge of my own snakes (Corn is now about 3ft ) and she is normally about 5-7 days after her eyes go milky.
When u take the skin out, if it is in one piece, try blowing in the mouth of it, great fun!
