I can only read a hundred pages a day or sometimes 150. I make sure I read a hundred a day. I roughly read about two to three books a week. I'm I a slow reader?

I make sure I remember what I read. If I didn't understand something on the page then I read it again. I remember every book I've read off by heart and could tell anyone about the book if they asked me.

People read at their own pace in order to capture the novel, if you didn't, it would be dull.

I used to read a lot and still do. Now I'm 72. The difference now is that I can read the same book over and over again and each time read something that I must have missed the previous time. When I was younger I would pick up a book start to read the first page and know I had read it before, so choose another book.

Two to three books a week? No, this is not what the average person (myself) would call a slow reader. Definitely not.

And so what if you can't read twenty-five books a month? Read them at your own pace. Enjoy them at your own pace. Books are meant to be appreciated by anyone who takes the time to sit down and read them--not watch them!

So, no, I don't think there is any problem with the way you are reading. Sometimes I go weeks without reading (usually because my job interferes with any spare time I might have had), and though I'm a bit disapointed, there's always next week! I don't read particularily fast either, but perhaps my grasp of what I read is greater than those who skim through the text at an inhuman pace.

Don't worry about it!

NO my dad reads about 300 pages a day but only on a book hes really interested in and me well I read about 100 pages a day if I read at all I normal go with making up my own stories but everyone gose at their own pace and it depends on how long u count as a day of read if you mean an hour or so before sleepin or if u mean no going to school or work and just reading from the minute u wake up till the minute u sleep then u see their is a big diffrence but don't think of yourself as a slow read ur going at your own pace and if that suits u its the best pace to be going at.

You don't seem to be a slow reader to me at all. I count myself as an enthusiastic reader, yet only read one book a week. Remember too that if you're reading relatively slowly and ,limiting yourself to 100 to 150 pages per day, you are more likely to be absorbing what you are reading.

there are many of us who haven't read a book from start to finish in 50 years or more. You're doing great. No, you are not a slow reader. It's more important to retain what you read rather than just be reading words though. But, if you need to improve your speed then you can push ahead or take a speed reading course and do like we do and pull out only the important words.

You read two-three books a week? That's a great accomplishment. No, you are not a slow reader, hun.

I usually only get one book read per week, if I'm lucky. It's really hard for me to concentrate on a book when I got a 5 year old running around hollering all the time. lol

Cheers

Does it matter?

Two or three books a week is amazing - I know people who dont even read a book a month.

Do you understand and remember everything that you read.

many people read faster than you but an hour later have no idea what they read as they we rent really concentrating and were just 'skimming'.

No, I'd think your a fast reader, i only read about 30-50 pages a day!!! I only read more if the book is absolutely brilliant and I can't wait to see what happens.

Of course you are not! Myself, I have never been a great reader and as such, 100 pages a day would be a personal triumph. Everyone goes at their own pace and frankly I wonder why you need to raise this question ?
