well its not just the japanese culture ...even some hispanics/latinos don't want to admit that their is ancestors that are native and aboriginal
And I am sure their is many mor other cultures if you go more into it

I didn't know that Japanese people are afraid of admitting that their ancestors are from mainland Asia... or Africa for that matter.

Anthropolgy and national myths are two different things. No serious person denies the facts of migration from the mainland to the islands that now comprise Japan, but there is a whole different mythological narrative that is also important to people. I guess what we are talking about here is the importance of myth. Take a look at how important Adam and Eve or King Arthur are to some people.

I didn't know that many Japanese were afraid of that, either. If you think of it, Japan is the island country. Someone had to come over from somewhere else, most likely from Korean peninsula, mainland China or Russia, even. It's the most logical thinking.

It is not just a Japanese thing, many Americans forget that unless they are Native American, almost everyone is an Immigrant to the USA from all over the world. But many, especially Caucasian (white) Americans forget that point.

Nope? Genetically people are from Asian continent.
And also some people were from pacific ocean.
Who is afraid of?

But I don't believe the first people is Chinese (where is the proof? why not Siberians?).

Ask about the first Korean ancestors in Korea section. You will find interesting phenomenon. The peninsula is 100% contiguous to Chinese continent though.

Because japan tends to ignore things that they don't like about themeselves. Ignorance is bliss and in japans case ignorance is common.
