My sisters, mum and I have a "book circle", when you've read a book you intial the front cover with the date you've finished and put any commentary, then pass to the next person in the circle. The last person donates the book to someone out of the circle, a library or second hand book shop. That way we are all reading the same things and have a lot to talk about when we get together.

If I really liked it, I'll re-read it in a year or so. Then I donate it to the local library - I usually buy hardbound books on the clearance table for 3-6 dollars.

Put it on my library shelf in association with others of the same or directly related subjects. For fiction - put it into the position of which ones I will read again and grade the location accordingly.

Books are precious gateways to knowledge or hours of entertainment. All should be respected and cared for.

The good ones I put back in my bookcase to read again (I have some books that I have ready many times over the years) The not-so-good & bad ones go to charity shops.

Well now I put it up, but there was a time when I was living in Manhattan that down in the lobby they had place to exchange books. I would just leave them there on the pane and someone would pick them up.

Others would leave books too. It was fun.

Discuss it with my friends.Lend it to them,in case they are interested. Finally add it to my collection. After a couple of years when I feel that have forgotten it,I again re-read it.Some of my books have been read over more then 5 to 6 times and are still with me.

If I liked the book, I keep it and let my friends and family borrow it. If I didn't like it, I will give it to the library or goodwill, or someone I think might like it.
