If it costs them money, some dealers will fight you. I've never had much trouble, but then I've always prided myself on being a real pain in the butt when I'm unhappy with my car.

A couple car dealers in my hometown hide when I enter their showroom because they know I'll argue price for six months and then complain daily about the car I buy.

If you have a problem, just keep complaining, either to the dealer or to the corporate offices of the car you've bought. If necessary check the "lemon laws" of the state you are in. A friend got a new car when his dealer failed to fix a recurring problem with his first new car. And the dealer got slapped by GM.

Because you bought that car, and all of the parts in it. The car loses value to them once it leaves the lot, and they aren't going to take that hit.

Don't stop with the service manager, ask to talk with the owner.
Mention the lemon law.
If the SM doesn't help you, send a note (MAIL)asking for appointment with owner and service rep.
