Yes, I treasure some alone time. It's necessary for me to recharge the ol' batteries. I'm very outgoing and friendly, & I allow my friends and family to take up a LOT of my time and energies. Not in a bad way, but some need more of a listening ear or companionship. I give so much of myself to others that I need (and take) my down time.

You can't figure out your true path in life with people by your side. Sure it's nice to have friends you can talk to but ultimately nobody knows what you need more than you. And sometimes peoples opinion, be it positive or negative, can sway you from doing what's truly in your heart.
So yes sometimes I'd rather be alone.

Yes, but I'm alone rather more than I like. I'm relatively new in town (less than a year), don't know many people, and don't go out much. I'm also retired/disabled, so I don't have people I know from work. Many times I savor my privacy, and the freedom to do just as I please. Other times I get BOOORED. At times even Yahoo! Answers can't stave off boredom.

Yes, as a matter of fact there are all so many times that I just want to be alone. As in all by myself with no one around to bug me with anything at all.

Yes, I need my alone time. Mondays are my favorite days. The kids go to school, husband goes to work and I have the entire day to myself. On my husband's day off I try to give him some space too....makes the together times even nicer!

Operative word is 'sometimes' -- of course, we all would. My personal theory is that we are all at some spot on the autism continuum and each have a point of overstimulation- that is the time where we seek isolation from social overload.

I'm only let out of my cell for an hour a day. Thank god they allow computers in here. Oh, ya - Kinda like to be left alone.

Yes, there are times when I need my space, I feel trapped or as if I am being swallowed up so I have to get away from people and just relax , then I am okay again
