In the UK if you're working and making enough money for the family to live on-the only benefit will be child benefit.

Benefits? In the US there are no extra benefits for stay at home moms. There is no government funding for this. The benefit would be that she would be there to raise your child instead of being in a daycare setting.

Not all companies pay the 6 week maternity leave. They have to hold your job for 3 months, but you don't necessarily get any kind of pay for that time. WIC, food stamps and other things of that nature, are not benefits you get for being a stay at home mom. Those are for Low income families with children in the home. You would get them regardless if you meet the income guidelines. If you would need to depend on food stamps for groceries, then you can't afford for her to stay home. Welfare isn't there to support you forever. It's that attitude that is killing the system. It is supposed to be used to get you back on your feet if something happens that is out of your control.

The benefits not work related to
1.This is the best choice for your children. A rich loving environment to raise your child

2. It sounds strange, but you may actually do better financially if one of you stays home! It's true! If you evaluate your financial situation and factor in the cost of working (childcare, clothing, commute costs, lunches out, dry-cleaning, etc.), including the amount of taxes that you pay while both of you are working, you may find that one of you can stay at home without seriously affecting your cash flow.

if you live in the USA, you can apply for WIC (family of 3 can make quite a bit of money and still qualify to receive this!) and food stamps and medical and hmmm... depends how long she has been at her job, can she get partial pay for 6 weeks after the birth of the child? ... do you rent an apartment? you can make quite a bit of money to get on section 8 payments as well! =) good luck!

Depends on where you live. If she quits her job she wouldn't be entitled to any benefits from them, but perhaps a monthly child allowance from your government...that would probably be about it.

That would totally depend on what the place she's working for offers.
