The speed only works on 3 & 4. What do you think the problem could be?
I'm tired of having the heat blow me away in the morning.

The problem is not with the fan switch.

there is a part called the blower motor resistor that is located on the blower motor housing under the right side of the dash. That resistor has four paths for the electrical current to flow through. When the current flows through the path with the highest resistance the fan speed is the lowest; as there is progressively less resistance in each of the other circuits when current flows through those branches the motor spins faster.

When the resistor block fails it almost always starts by wiping out the lower speeds first. Eventually you'll only have high speed as that is the 'fail safe' circuit in the resistor.

replace the blower motor resistor and you'll fix your problem

hope that helps

Yeah the blower resistor is a common problem in older Honda/Acura... It is located behind the glove box in my Acura. I tried to buy one from autozone a couple of weeks ago and they had none in stock and would not let me order one because the had none in their warehouse either... I checked ebay and only found them used with the fan included...

My friend had the same problem on a civic. I think it was pretty simple to fix because the fan still works well (obviously) but the switch was the problem. She had a professional fix it because it was electrical.
