Yes, I too focus more on the words of an ex-president rather than come to grips with the fact that the current sitting president has not even tried to be honest with the public. Look at me! I'm average ignorant conservative! I get upset when I realize that Clinton was a successful president and Bush has dismantled everything that makes the USA what it is!

What Clinton said in the 1990s did not justify an invasion of Iraq in 2003. Clinton has said that the UN inspectors should have been allowed an opportunity to finish their inspections.

As it turns out, no weapons of mass destruction were found after the invasion. Also, even many of those who thought that Saddam had WMDs stated that Saddam was contained. Despite the Bush administration’s dire and hysterical predictions, Iraq was no threat to the United States.

Bill has a very convenient case of memory loss when it suits HIS purposes. But then that appears to be a common malady among Democrats in Congress. To hear them talk none of them were ever in favor of going to Iraq. And who knows that may be a true statement. But if they were never in favor of going to Iraq why did they vote to allow the president to take such action? Didn't they know what the ramifications would be? Or is this another case of legislators voting on something they know absolutly nothing about?

He must have said it the same day Cheney said invading Iraq was a terrible idea and would only result in an unsolvable political quagmire. Strange day that was.

I really don't understand why anyone would expect to hear the truth from a person who has made lying the capstone of his career.
