That's a good question, if we drill for oil any where we are destroying the environment but it's OK when another country comes in and drills. Either they have some new technology that we don't have or the environmentalist are more interested in destroying our economy that they are in the environment.

I haven't seen or read of any evidence of this but if my old jr high geography class map is still accurate - Mexico has a border REALLLLLLL close to San Diego, ditto Russia & Alaska (Alaska being a former Russian territory).
China????WTF!
And for the person that mentions Cuba, the communist island state is not that far from the Floridian Keys.
International law allows them to do whatever within their extended boundaries.
If you want more drilling within the USA boundaries, most people would not object if it were done in a clean ecologically friendly manner - something most big oil companies do not care to do.
I urge you to contact the big oil companies to clean up their act & show they CAN responsibly drill offshore.

On a positive note, we can buy oil from these countries. At least there is a chance of getting out of the ground and using it.
