I had a Metro once (aka Suzuki Swift, SA 310) it was not that bad with its puny 3 Cly engine. I put that car at 90 MPH drafting a Thunderbird SC in Hwy 70 years ago. It served its purpose. Is just an econo box. As far quality is like any Japanese car, take care of it and will last. People are biased by size and $$$ tag so they say is crap and no good. I bet money if Lexsucks do the same thing, gold trim it, leather seats and triple the price and called some like XE 250 people will say is a good buy !

Do you remember The Dawoo cars a couple years ago? Chevorlet Aveo is one of those. Suzuki Aveio might be better. Dealer mechanics don't even like to see those cars come in for warranty work. There are much better choices. Please keep looking Other makes will provide better fuel economy and longer lasting quality.

Performance? I don't know but I'm sure its adequate, as it's a small, lightweight car.

Economy: 27 City 37 Highway with stickshift, 26 city 34 highway automatic.
