As what happened today i dont think other countries get affected by what is happening to our country.Actually my husband is japanese and he told me that we the people of our country are the one who is responsible to our acts and whether we do good or bad he didnt think that it would affect other countries in the way they think about philippine and its people.

No I don't think they do, You are too far away from "us", also the far east is not reported in the same way.
China and Japan are, but people in the west are not aware of the problems that exist in the Philippines.
The story of the rebel soldiers holed up in a hotel was given about 3 minutes on the news this morning.

I worked in Manila some years ago, nice country.
I think that your husband is correct.

Well yes it does. Other governments (not in Asia and in Asia) have already started to send out warnings on travel to the Manila area.
The stability of a country has an impact on other countries in the region. Exchange rates change, travel restrictions, freedom of movement, insurance rates and even on the locals especially the more educated ones who want a happy life and so emigrate!
Today will probably give some militants the urge to do similar things .. For the sake of the Filipino and the beautiful country lets hope that stability comes sooner rather than later.

Lot of people have some vague idea Philippines is a bit dangerous which is a shame because I think it puts a lots of tourists off going there. Have been a couple of times to Philippines and the people there are lovely, so friendly and charming. I hope more people visit and see for themselves.

Now they are since they will view Philippines as one of the most dangerous places on earth...thanks to trillanes and his selfish dreams.
They are not affected of course...only the Filipinos who live in the Philippines are badly affected.
