As a person who absolutely hates Gordon Brown, I think You deserve a jolly good thrashing for calling a nice teddy bear after him.

Forced to listen to the parliment program when some really dull back bencher is putting up a point that no-one outside of his own constituancy could have any possible interest in. This to be replayed continuously on the TV instead of the main match for 6 months - no appeal. Or would that be cruel and un-natural punishment. (lol)

There is nothing wrong with naming a teddy Bear Gordon, just like there is nothing wrong with calling a teddy bear Mohammed.

if forty lashes / and /or 15 months imprisonement doesn't bother you --- then off you toodle --- just make sure your passport is in order for your departure to the sudan --- the land of tempermental teddy bears --- not to mention the bucket loads of money that goes to help a ' cause ' --- only to be spat at if you can't get teddys name right . !!! --- feel okay with that !!? --- help a third world country become a fourth world counrty with rulers who have the mentality of a pea ( and thats hanging s--t on a pea ) . good luck .

The original TeddyBear was named after Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th US President.
So naming yours after Gordon Brown would be fine...um...especially if your bear is brown...!
I really don't see what the fuss is all about & i hope that poor Ms.Gibbons is brought home safe & sound soon.

Probably yes, because we do need to show some modicum of respect for our leaders if we are not going to revert to negative anarchy and make ourselves the laughing stock of the world, which a lot of posts on YA seem to be threatening to do. Have a bit of pride. Am actually answering this question because my Mum helped me named my teddy bears and other dolls, which turned out to be names she had taken subliminally from her family history, and confirmed my later researches into these areas no end!

Thats cruelty to bears, the poor little thing doesn't deserve that. I would take all of your teddy bears away from you because you are not fit to name any of them
