I heard TV news today that our ex-soldier Capt. Bana Singh who recaptured a chowky from Pakistan which is named after him as Bana Chowky and who is a recipient of Param Vir Chakra received a meagre Rs. 166/- as honorarium from J.& K. Govt. Compare this with Rs. 1 Crore prize to Yuvraj Singh for hitting six sixes in six minutes. I invite your comments.

Actually the media should not just highlight such cases but recognize the heroes for what they are. Dont just blame the govt. even people admire cricketers more than army soldiers who protect us.

We have all our priorities wrong, the media is all about glamour and marketing who cares for war heroes.

Other question is now that we know about this what do we do about it ? Hopefully there is some NGO or trust which channels funds to such people.

It’s not only apathy of govt.of India it our national tragedy that brave ex-soldiers are being given such treatment. We the proud people of India are crazy to show & view live coverage the going & coming out of jail of Sanjay Dutt & make him national hero just because he acted in one movie showing Gandhi in modern India & influencing this character Munna Bhai he portrays to follow his Gandhigiri & propagate it, forgetting that this chap is involved in a very serious offence of carrying illegal arms & has been found guilty under the provisions of the Arms Act. What the hell is going on in this country that real deserving people live & dies in pitiful conditions where as goondas becomes national heroes & political leader? Rs. 1 Crore is being given for hitting six sixes but what about killing hundreds of national enemies during the war time Rs.166/- only, this is nothing but "Kalyung”!

what is the government supposed to do? what would you have done? or what does this country do?

ethics, morals and values look beautiful only till the situation is not staring at us. if it does, we forget everything else.

remeber khandahar hijack. how many in this country protested releasing terrorists in exchange for passengers?

remember a terrorist being released for a minister's daughter? and now that father/ daughter duo are sitting and telling the world do's and dont's.

that's the way the world is, unless we - i mean WE decide to change it.
