In either case, I'll say, "YUCK, GOOD ONE"- point @ one of those around me and say, "Aren't you ashamed of yourself?" I love the reaction from the poor ol victim, but, I really think people DO expect this from me- lol! Gosh, It is so hard to be the "Class Clown"! LOL! If they are adament (which ususally they aren't) I'll say, "I'm sorry, just kidding around- MY BAD!." Nobody has ever got mad at me- YET!

Like Amber, I make no excuses for natural bodily functions. It wasn't that long ago when to burp at the banquet table was a compliment to the cook. Farting in public, though, is a different matter. I try to keep it quiet; otherwise, I frown at the nearest person and walk away.

Well i don't really do that kind of stuff around in public only with family cause they do it to in their own enviroment, but if you were an open person then obviously you would just let wind go. Worse people do it by you then walk of now thats nothing at all. But i was to pass wind i would say Pardon!!

I say excuse me if I burp from my mouth, and pardon me if I burp from the other end....that way if I say it and people weren't aware of which one had occured they would be alerted based on the apology I give them :)

I say excuse me!!!!
I am lucky - I am not a gassy person.
But if I drink soda from a can - I burp a LOT!!!
If I am in my classroom - I blame it on one of the kids!!!!!
