Most people trust their gut instincts. But some people's guts are more reliable than others. Think of the people you know. There are some with whom you would trust your life, and there may be some you wouldn't let take care of your dog for a weekend. Should the latter group trust their gut instincts?

the "gut instinct" does work. i don't know what it you're going through, but here's a simple example of why mine works for me.... there's this online trivia game i play at my favorite hangout. when the tv asks me a question and gives me a list of answers, i look at them and, let's say, my gut instinct says to answer #3, but i start in with thinking about it logically, and i say #4. 7 times out of 10 it will be #3. it was my first thought but i second guessed myself. the instinct was it was something i experienced, or learned before, but didn't go with it. now i "listen" with my gut, and i'm more right than not. i know that sounds dumb, but there is definitely something to it. hope this helps.

yes it does, for those that pay attention to it.
During my marriage of 12 years to a man that would have sex with any woman that gave him a second look, my gut feeling was right all but once he later confided in me after we were divorced. My final gut feeling led me to a hotel where "they" were and it wasn't until I ripped the made bed apart that I found 100% proof of his philandering ways. His dirty secret was out in the open. And he lost not only me but his children and his self respect. But that probably was lost the first time he slept with someone right after we were married 12 years previously.

I think it does work a lot of the time. There's a lot of stuff floating around in the far corners of your mind - a hell of a lot more information in there then you can process easily! Often if you get a strong feeling about something but you don't know why, it will turn out to be true.

Not really. Some people seems to be more sensitive to signs than others. It's not pure instinct. It's some kind of underground thinking. You see evidence that your subconscious is able to process and warns you about things to come that your conscious self can't see. Your subconscious can't talk to you directly, so it creates a discharge of adrenaline that alerts you.
But I know nothing about it. I'm answering this just because my guts told me to.

Well, it's more of a Yeah/Naw thing. Sometimes there is a genuine gut instinct that we should follow, and sometimes it's just something we imagined (or ate).

Absolutely. And in various aspects of your lives. Crime reports have noted that many people felt something was wrong before the crime occured but ignored their instincts due to socialization. ie: someone asking for help and you feeling like you should say no but you don't.

My gut feeling was that his question has been asked before ....58 times actually.
Look in the Search for a question box above, plenty of research there for you.
As for myself, 'it all depends upon the circumstances,' but in general terms, this is not within my terms of experience.

absolutely. for example. if you can look at the liberals latest tax and spend mess and sense immediately that something is wrong and hillary care 2 has a distinct smell to it, then you know your senses are working perfectly.
