My dad was a British soldier on the Atlantic Conveyor during the Falklands War. It was hit by an exocet missile & sunk. My favourite childhood memory is watching him walk off the the helicopter when he was brought home to us.

I have so many happy memories from my childhood it is hard to choose just one. Most of my happy times were spent on my Grandad's farm. He was the most wonderful man and I miss him every day. He loved me all my life no matter what stupid mistakes I made. He was always there for me and never judged me. He bought me my first watch, took me to my first football amtch, went to my school and stopped the dinner ladies forcing me to eat food I hated, but if i had to choose one happy moment from my childhood it would be Christmas 1962 when I finally felt safe at my Grandad's away from my abusive father knowing he had gone away.

The times that me and my grandfather spent doing things together. He died in 1985 and I still miss him, but I have the great memories of spending time with him throughout my childhood.

I have fond memories of singing songs with my mother. There are also certain times I spent at Boy Scout camp--swimming, canoeing in the evening, sleeping outside in a grove of pine tree--that also are enjoyable to recall.

Waking up at a rriends house. Their house was a really old cottage and I woke one morining with a cat on my bed keeping me warm and then breakfast was fresh bread toasted with honey and some dutch chocolate sprinkles on top.
They are wonderful people and have done alot for children in Romania.

my sister and I used to go to work with my Dad a lot. We would ride in his big blue pick-up truck and listened to music really loud. We always played The Connection and Message in a Bottle over and over again. We loved it.
