Sky mentioned on tuesday evening that the money in the Maddie fund was almost gone. Unfortunately i had to go out before the article came on the news. Since then i have seen no mention of this story anywhere. Can anyone fill me in?

There was meant to have been a meeting with regard to what would happen if investors wanted their money back, where would the money come from if anyone wanted their money back? I know that this is another question, but I never discovered what the results to the meeting were and whether there's any money in the fighting fund, would this money be counted as a separate fund and not responsible for refunds?

The Metodo crooks are fleecing them for about £2000 a day which we now find out is coming out of the fund.At first it was reported that Kate's uncle was going to foot the bill but now it seems not. It totally amazes me how these McCanns can blatently stand there and literally throw donated money down the drain by hiring a team of crooks when they know perfectly well that Maddy is not alive. I think they set up the fund on the first day because they knew right from the start that they would need this money to constantly distract the investigation away from themselves for months and months.I hope the PJ get to the bottom of this for poor Maddy's sake.

£1,095,223.50 - the fund stands at 1.1 million with allegedly 30k per month slowing coming in as Clarence says 'income'

Its hard to know what is being spent by whom - perhaps the rattle of the tin from Clarence this week is because millionaire sponsors are walking away from their committments?

If all their funds have gone, then why are they putting £80,000 funding a new advertising campaign in Spain? . I read this in the paper this morning

fools and their money are easy parted. i didnt donate. there was no way the child was gone to be found by Metodo 3. if they would both take lie detector tests then that would satisfy a lot of people. but they wont and one wonders why not.

I'd be more interested to see if when the cash runs out how many pr gurus and detectives and other handlers stay with them, or if they just shrug their shoulders and say 'thanks for the cash, good luck'

Are they only convinced of innocence and so defending the McCanns when there is a pot of gold they can siphon off, or will they stick with them when the teet dries up.

I heard Metodo 3 charge £10,000 a day, so that is a fair wedge, its a 6 month contact. Work it out....

Email the Fine Madeleine Website (you can mark your email private and not for public domain) and ASK THERE.

How does anyone on here know the complete breakdown of where the money has gone. Metedo 3 are costing 50k a month. CRG (controlled risk group) are swallowing loads of it.

Ask the question, but in the right place

I just watched Clarence Mitchell on the news and he said nothing about the money being almost gone.He said that the private investigators are being paid up to 50 grand a month and thats about it really.
