Given volume of HCl = 37.8mL (3 significant figures)
Molarity of HCl = 1.5 mole/L (2 significant figures)

Number moles of HCl = (37.8x10^-3)*(1.5) = 0.0567 mole (3 significant figures)

With the rule "When multiplying or dividing, the product or quotient will have the same number of significant figures as the number with the least number of significant figures.",

The answer should be written as 0.057 mole (two significant figures)

Molarity is found using the formula moles of substance over Liter solvent.

You are given the molarity (1.5 M HCl) and 37.8 mL which is 0.0378 L.

All you need to do is multiply the molarity by 0.0378 L.

1.5 M * 0.0378 L = 0.0567 moles
