Hrm. Well I'm assuming you're talking about the landscaping rocks around pools. The smooth round ones either laid in or placed around. Those might not even be rocks... but they are usually sedimentary rocks that have been smoothed down by running water or have been through some wind process.

The other rocks could be anything. It's either sedimentary or metamorphic. It mostly depends on where you found it, how hard it is and if it has any crystals.

Ok those are definitely river rocks. Or that's what I call them bc you find them around rivers :)

And the other is most likely tiger's eye. It comes in all shades of yellow and brown.

the photo shows a screened gravel-cobble mix. Commonly get them in sand and gravel pits that mine sediments deposited from rivers having a high energy and sediment load. Note the nice rounding of the rocks. Crushed gravel doesn't display such smooth rounded surfaces.

There are several examples of gneiss-like rocks in that photo, and the mystery rock you mention might be a gneiss.

For the swimming pool rock, I think you just described a very high number of kinds of rocks...

For the striped one, you may be thinking of Tiger's Eye/ tiger eye/ tigereye

EDIT: Yes, tiger's eye come in different shades.

The collection of rocks in the photo are:
The smooth pinkish ones are quartz.
The grey one with dark layers is schist.
The brownish ones are diorite and quartzites.

There is no tiger eye in the photo.

the picture your link shows are river rocks. more specifically rocks that have been smoothed and rounded by the action of water in a stream giving the the appearance that we see here.
