There is definitely an advantage to practicing CPR hands-on. However, if you already know it well and just need a renewal for a teacher certification or employer, there are some POSSIBLE online options.

I was actually given a list by my university of practical certification and online certification providers. After I took the online program, they told me that they would not accept it. When I pointed out (their flyer in hand) that I only enrolled because they recommended it, they relented. So, you can see that it is best to check with your university, state agency, or employer who is making the request for you which providers they will accept.

I am not aware of any on-line site that is:
a.) any good
b.) cheaper than a regular class, and
c.) accepted as legit by most employers

The Red Cross has a thing called 'Blended Learning' that is mostly on-line, and a little with an instructor.
