An F355 for $41k is an extremely good buy... this is close to half what you would normally expect to find this car selling for. This is such a good buy that it begs the question "why?" Given the current market and demand, a good condition F355 would sell quite quickly for $60k, and be viewed as a fantastic buy... the fact that it is offered for this little suggests there is something seriously wrong with the car or it's history (salvage title?).
It's also worth noting, that even if the purchase price of a Ferrari is "cheap," ownership of the car will still be costly (expensive insurance, low gas milage, very expensive parts, and routine maintenance is very costly). If you plan on making such a purchase, make sure you have a knowledgable Ferrari mechanic perform a prepurchase inspection (otherwise, your cheap car could quickly become more expensive than a new one).

It's a good price for a 355....but ask yourself why the F355 Ferrari...are you a Ferrari connoisure? Yes, the F355 is considered by many to be one of the finest examples of the Italian badge, but if you're going for performance and modernity, take a took at a used Porsche 911.

the F355 is one of the finest examples of ferrari design and preformance, but for 40K well lets just say i wouldn't get it. And if you do decide to get it (i suggest you dont) then you should knnow that serivice costs, and running costs will be VERY HIGH. I agree with chigga, you should look at a used 911. I have driven Both the 355 and a 911 turbo from the 90S and i honestly believe that the 911 was better in all areas including PREFORMANCE.

If u have the chance to own a prancing horse,go for it,Many people like me,whos waiting the chance to own one.The 355 is one of the best Ferrari car ever to come out of Maranello.Forgret the 911,its just a beetle in a pair of running shoes.
