Everything can serve a good and bad purpose, everything can be viewed in the eyes of an invidivdual to be good or bad. Essentially they are neutral objects, just a make up of elements and atoms. They are neith this or that, black or white, a or b. They just are. They are neutral and so adds to the variation of views we have on them. If they are essentially good, then there would not be any difference or oppinion in the world. There would not be philosophy or conflict of belief.

Plenty of good..........I liked that Starbucks answer up there..........lol. The things that I think are good are MUSIC, I love music, it's my prozac basically. I also love my children, and watching them grow, and learn about things with amazement on their faces. I love their chubby cheeks and how excited they get over the seemingly small things. I love coffee but I don't indulge in Starbucks. I love me because I'm simple, not materialistic and think of others b4 myself. I can see how you would ask because there is SO MUCH evil in the world. It really amazes me how some people can be. Yet it fascinates me, because I want to know why some turn out evil........I'd love to be one of those true crime writers or a psychologist, the brain is so mysterious.

If there were nothing good in the world,
There would be nothing bad in the world.

Without good, there would only be bad, therefor we wouldn't even name it, it would just be everything.

Good can't exist without bad,
negative without positive,
light without darkness.

Everything, wether we can prove it or not, or we can understand it or not, everything adheres to a natural balance.

Yep.
We call it the "Holy Spirit".
Call for Him, He will answer and you will know the good in this world.
I mean it. You will know but you have to call for Him, He isn't going to force a thing on you.

It's all good. If is something you like, you enjoy. If it's something that causes you pain, it makes you stronger. If it's something that makes you suffer it makes you wiser. If it's something that you really desire, it makes you happy. Look up and around you the world is full of miracles.

In philosophy, "good" has many meanings, some only subtly different from the others.
One meaning is that good is "that which is good for something." I think you can now answer the question yourself.
