I take issue with his Scientology. But I have no issue with Tom Cruise as a person. In fact, I think he got a raw deal about how he expressed his feelings for Katie on the Oprah show. From everything I've ever heard, Tom Cruise is one of the most charismatic people you could ever hope to meet. I've heard many people - even the nobodies on film crews - talk about how Tom has the gift to make anyone he's talking to feel like they are the most important person in the world.
And regardless of how I feel about him as a person, he makes some very entertaining movies and I would never deny myself the pleasure of a good movie just because I don't like the personal life of one of the actors.

Haha I hope Tom Cruise stumbles upon this. He went from Rain Man and Born On The Fourth Of July to War Of The Worlds and Mission Impossible. Some girl called him a knob, lol.

He had his time, but if he could do another top gun I wouldn't mind. I think he does a better "greedy guy with a million dollar smile" than keanu reeves. I put Risky Business and the Devils Advocate side by side and not even Al Pachino would help Keanu Reeves do better than Tom Cruise.
Somebody back me up, please.

Top Gun was his best movie.
But, man, what a toal idiot this guy has become. I mena, trying to push his scientology (well, not his but L.Ron Hubbards) onto everyone in Hollywood. Man, I can't stand him, and his jumping up and down on Oprah's couch, and his interview with Matt Lawor (sp). Talk about an ill advised individual, someone who is way out in left field.

I overlook peoples personality for my own enjoyment.
But then again, i dont look into how they really are.
I dont care about actors and actress's at all... i like the roles they play.
I suggest it... there is no reason to care what he does in his personal life... just think of all the things the actors HIDE from you... how they could really be..... youd never watch a show at all if you knew.
So, i dont care anything about TOM CRUIZE, not until he bothers me in person...

Funny. He seemed so cool in Officer and a Gentleman, A Few Good Men, and Top Gun. Now is is making a movie in which he plays the role of Count Von Stauffenberg, the man who tried to assassinate Hitler. Maybe Cruise will redeem himself?

I am with you. I think I went off him when he acted silly over Katie what's-her-name. How could she compare with Nicole? I wasn't a Kidman fan before that, but I think she put up with a lot of garbage from him in the divorce, however much money got handed out in the end.

I never did have any love for him,& when he said that about Brooke Shields that there was no such thing as depression, & that scientology would have done no such thing or somethig, cant remember the exact words, ,but it was saying he was better'n her........i got to where i avoid him like a rash.
