I have noticed that the word "fart" is used alot in sitcoms and adult cartoons... do you find it appropriate?

I not only think it should be allowed on TV, but I think it should be mandatory. That way, the people who find it offensive might lighten up a little through desensitization.

It may not be tasteful, but very little of what's on TV is tasteful. Honestly, I really could care less about language. It's just words. I'd rather hear my kids saying "fart" than singing the Barney song, anyway.

If you think that 'fart' should be classified as inappropriate, then you have another thing coming. Seriously though, there are some things on T.V that should not be allowed, but 'Fart' is definitely not one of them. Just my opinion.

Of course it should be allowed on TV. It's not a cuss word. Everyone farts, it's just natural.

Sure... but it's definately not appropriate at my house! We use the word "tooted" when someone has farted.
I don't find it offensive on t.v though... there's worst words out there that people say on the television.

Tell me, do you find the word '***' or '*****' appropriate for television? Then compare these words to 'fart' and then ask that question....

It doesn't sound as good as, "Passing gas" but there are worse words said on TV thaan "Fart".

in oz we say a bloody lot worse than that !we show nudity! of course it should, **** it is a natural bodily action!i am surprised that it worries you considering sooooo much of the American music (that the rest of the world hears) is full of things like whore ,mother fuc--- so on and so on
