In the real world, fame is fleeting - but infamy lives forever.
Ask your average 8th grader who the BAD guy was in WWII - MOST will know Hitler.
Now ask him/her who the GOOD guy was...

difficult ~infamy is usually through actions that shock people and are therefore more memorable for the wrong reasons. being famous does not necessitate any grand achievement, only recognition. so i'd say no
