What do cheaters feel? Do most cheaters eventually regret or feel remorse? What are the statistics for an adulterous relationship actually working?

sadly they weren't thinking about you at all when they were doing what they were doing. Later they feel remorse, and guilt.

It cannot work out if you can't move past it. If you can't get over it then get out of it. And yes, they might do it again. They might not too though, I guess it's something you just can't tell.

Either way, it wasn't because of you. They don't cheat because of us, even though they may blame it ON us, it really has nothing to do with us. We couldn't have been nicer, better looking, etc. If they are going to cheat, then they're going to cheat, and nothing we do can stop it, or make it happen. It's a selfish practice that people do when they stop appreciating what they have and start grabbing for what they don't, which is "it all."

They want it all. All the people that will feel something for them, all the people that they feel something for. It's like reaching out and grabbing a whole meal from taco bell while you are already eating dinner at McDonald's. They think they can eat it all or have it all, but they can't. They are selfish and unrealistic for even trying.

Nobody can eat two dinners at the same time and enjoy them both for what they are. They can't happily fit them both in, they can't possibly have room for that much food, but they just can't seem to ever have enough for them.

Cheaters Remorse

deep regret after the fact. Alot of cheaters get kicks off of feeling new and wanted like that. Some have poor impulse control.

I was a cheater, and they say once a cheater always a cheater but I don't think that's true. I'm much better now. It's been 3 years since my last encounter and I have no desire anymore to cheat.

I always felt cheap and dirty after each encounter. I would cry for days and beg forgivness from God, the priest and my fiance. Eventually the latter stopped forgiving me. and told me that if I do it again I'm out. So that Gretchen Wilson song when I think about cheating I just think about you leaving. Makes me cry and realize that I really don't want him to go. I just have to learn to live with him as a couple rather than try to do my own thing and search for the temporary highs that you get from cheating.

Hope that helps!

As a ex-cheater I would liek to say yes we do feel remorse ,however maybe not right away and sometimes not until we have lost the person we had and they have abouslutely nothing to do with us,however the remorse also comes when the person who cheated gets cheated on.
As for a relationship to work um it really just depends if the trust can be rebuilt and honest changes have been made.
As far as statistics dont have a number for you sorry.

After talking to many women at a place I worked, I was shocked to find out that 60% of them had husbands who cheated once. All of these women, except for 2, are still married to the man who was unfaithful, so I believe that most of them work out; contrary to what I originally thought. Number of women surveyed was 38. And the 36 who remained married stated their marriage was better and they grew closer.

Can only speak of how my spouse states he felt after cheating: - Remorseful, Ashamed, In pain from seeing me hurt so deeply, regretful and that it was definitely not worth it.

cheaters don't feel bad. they can justify everything and anything and may even get a rush out of dating several people. the only time they feel bad is when they are caught or overwhelmed with juggling multiple partners. and when they feel bad, it's for themselves, not for the people they are cheating on.
the only time they may regret or feel remorse is when time passes by and they change their ways and look back on what an @sshole they were. even then, don't expect an apology or the truth out of them. they may carry some things to their grave.

I don't know, but it would be nice to know.

Maybe I should ask my ex boyfriends.

I also wonder if the saying "Once a cheater, always a cheater" is true...?

We have an amazing time with our mistress and then we feel bad because unlike the monsters we are made out to be most of us have feelings and we don't want to hurt anyone. I'm speaking for all men since all men cheat. Happy Holidays!!!

Some feel remorse (mostly the ones that get caught), others are very callous about it (usually the ones that only love themselves), some just make excuses for themselves (the ones that blame everything bad that they do, or happens to them on others).
