A Hickory Farms gift box with some cheese, meat, and crackers is always safe and tasty. It's the thought that counts. A nice candle to match their house and a box of chocolates is sweet too.

That's a tough one.
A gift certificate is always swell but is that too impersonal? Maybe not for this type of gift. It's definitely safe. Maybe take them out to dinner?

You can take them out to eat, along w/ your b/f,
you can talk to your b/f, find out what they are interested in, what kind of music they like, maybe get them a cd, or something for their house. gift sets are always good too
