They're just awful. Not only anti-union and supporting sweat shops, but in how they go into small towns and just destroy small businesses.
I like to save money as much as everyone else, but to a point. I would never, ever shop at Wal-Mart. I did, however, once accompany a friend who was dying to see what they looked like inside, and it really was hideous -- it's just garish and crowded and has a feeling of mediocrity and simple-mindedness and orgiastic consumerism. Just utterly awful.

Well it's a double edge sword .On the one hand they have done what the government has failed to do : Provide goods at cheaper prices thus helping the poor make ends meet.. The downside is if you work there or if you work for a supplier in the 3rd world .But then again would they have jobs there if wal mart didn't exist?

A little bit of both. You should watch the South Park episode: "Something WalMart This Way Comes." It's a typical South Park take on something...it's hilarious.

ya ya i spent years there thought it was family oriented
but not really. most of there product is from beyond our borders.
they have the funds and work plan to be great but the
have so many managers that it is hard to complete a task with the orders changing as they do.
when they get wind of you having family problems that find a way for you to leave.................
also what good is cheep stuff if you have to keep replacing the cheep stuff?

Anyone who shops at works for or owns shares in that company is a traitor to the US of America and should be dealt with in such a fasion.
