you have to make sure your on the will to get the deeds to the appartment block before you do it.
if you don't the next person it's left to will be your new landlord.....they will want rent off you too.
what you could do is keep killing the "landlords until" your the next in line.
or get your wife to sleep with him for a free month or week (sorry don't know how attractive she is) lol
good luck bud!!!

Assuming you could get away with it, which is extremely unlikely, you would still have to pay rent. Your lease probably includes language that says that if the property is transferred to someone other than the present owner, the lease would continue in full force and effect until the term of the lease expires.
But it would be an extremely career-limiting move to do something like that -- you'd wind up with three hots and a cot with a large number of unsavory companions -- not the kind of people you'd choose as friends -- for a very long time, and they might not be nice to you. A lifer could stab you to death with a shiv and he wouldn't even miss a meal -- he'd just get an additional (completely meaningless) life sentence.

Yes, the executor of his will would find the nearest known relative (or benefactor named in a will) and the rent you owe would be part of his estate that would be payable to them.
Seriously though, if he is that bad, MOVE! Don't pay rent for something you're not happy with.

Yeah, but at 16¢ per hour in the Big House it'll take quite a while to settle the debt.
