My husband and I own a house together in California and we would like to get a divorce soon, however, we both don't want to sell the house since market price is not to neither of our benefit. What's the California divorce law about community property is not sold in process of divorce??

Talk to your lawyer. You can sell the house and split the profit or one can buy the other out.

You can buy his half of the house but you'd have to get an appraisal first or it will be court ordered to sell and divy up the proceeds or the judge will allow for the both of you to learn to coexist in the house if no one wants to sell and the both of you want it.

Hiring a lawyer for minor legal problems can be expensive, but there are websites like LawGuru, FindLaw and other places where you can get free legal advice. I found this website useful - http://www.uelp.org/freelegal.html
