Can give ya rabies. Claw out an eye. Tear off a hunk of flesh. Bite you. Pee on you. Poo on you. Throw up on you. Attempt to eat you. Attempt to make something else eat you (trust me, it's possible). Aaaaand....biting off a nipple.(I've seen this as well. Redneck ran over a racoon, picked it up, the thing bit off his right nipple.)

Raccoons can harm you on many accounts. In several areas they are the reservoir host for rabies which has a 100% mortality rate, this is transmitted easily through bodily fluids. Raccoons are also highly territorial and aggressive when threatened. Stay far away from foraging and/or feeding raccoons, and stay out of the path of a mother and her offspring.

Some raccoons can turn aggressive and bite you and can possibly transmit RABIES, that would be the greatest harm they can inflict.

Raccoons can also transmit some diseases. Most raccoons are carrier of ROUNDWORMS, so be careful if one sneaks in your kitchen and contaminate the place with such parasite.Their droppings could be harmful as well.

Of course, if one will have a furious encounter with raccoons, foreseeable injuries from its paws, aside from its bites would be the other harm.

Raccoons are friendly and curious by nature. When they live around humans, they know that there will be food close to where the humans are, so they aren't usually afraid to be in close proximity of you. People make the mistake of getting too close, leaving food out for them, or trying to feed them by hand. They have hands almost like ours, with a little thumb that allows them to open any garbage can, and they also have sharp claws, and sharp teeth. If they are frightened, they will turn on you (or your dog or cat ) and fight with all they got!! Those little hands are nimble, and they will grab onto you and claw and bite you, I've seen a cat with it's entire skull ripped off, killed while messing with a raccoon.

A racoon has long claws which can dig deep into skin. But they almost never attack humans unless they are cornered
