Crusades (Christianity vs. Islam). There were several wars during the 8th, 9th and 10th Centuries when the Arab forces from North Africa invaded Spain and attempted to invade France and when the Ottoman Turks attacked South Eastern Europe and were prevented from getting past the Balkans.
There were numerous wars between Catholics and Protestants during the Reformation. Since the 1600s, wars have been based more on economics or economics mixed with religion. Is the current war on terror, as the President said in a Freudian slip, a "Crusade" or is it a world war between the forces of modernity and civilization against the forces of Islamo-Fascism?

You can start with Joshua wiping out whole tribes of people in the area of Palestine in biblical times. Add 700 to 800 years of warfare between the Spanish and the Moors on the Iberian peninsula between the 700s CE and 1492. Toss in at least seven or eight Crusades between 1095 and the late 1200s.
Include all the wars in the Balkans between Christian Europe and Islamic Turks from the 1300s to World War I.
Of course the Thirty Years War between Catholics and protestants in early 1600s Europe is notable, but there were many conflicts of this sort after the reformation of the Christian church began in 1517. The list becomes endless, but as I usually teach my world history classes, there were often economic reasons for the religious wars. Greed and selfishness are two of man's greatest motivations for war, though religion makes it seem like a more justified or holy cause.

The British Revolutionary War was largely, but not entirely, about religion. The last really religious war was the Thirty Years War.

The Thirty Years' War was caused by religious conflicts. It ended with the Peace of Westphalia in 1648 which stated that all German states could determine their own religion.

Change your question to "What were some of the wars that were NOT caused due to religion?" and you'd have a much shorter list.
In fact, I'm pretty sure you'd be pushing it to find ANY war that didn't have some theological angle.
Religion is bad. Let's ban it......

All of them. People use religion as an excuse for every dirty deed they commit. They often twist religeous beliefs to fit their ideology and use that premise to convince people to go along, even if it seems wrong, because after all religion requires blind faith ... you need absolutely no proof that your interpretation of god's will is correct: you only need to follow your own beliefs and you are convinced that it is righteous, no matter how idiotic it is!

First thing that popped up in my head was the Crusades...
It was actually 4 crusades between the muslims and the crusaders (christians). they were fighting for "The Holy Land A.K.A Future state of Israel". The first crusade the muslims won, while the 2nd, third, and fourth, Crusaders won.
