My husband puts his loose change in a jar. I keep mine in a box that he doesn't know about. I just keep saving it and saving it.

I used to deliver pizzas and whenever I had change I would throw it into my ash tray. I wouldn't empty it until the coins were overflowing off the side of it whenever I'd turn. But when I did, I had at least $30 in there, that's including all the change scattered in my car like between the seats, under the seats, and under the floor mats.

Now I do save my change that I get from daily transactions. I put it in a Sesame Street cookie tin. It holds about $50-60.

Our first one was in 1959! We had a large blue milk jug which had belonged to my Granny and we saved every octagonal 3d. pieces in it. By the time we had our first baby we had enough saved to buy a pram and a cot.
I now put all small change in the back right hand pocket of my jeans and pound coins in the left one (for shopping trolley use).
£2 coins go into a jar for whenever I see my grandchildren - I give them one each.

Yes, usually put 50p's and £1/£2 coins in. Mostly change it up when there's about £50 in it and either put it in the bank or go out for a meal/pub crawl!
