It's impossible to put an actual percentage on it but he has a solid chance but it's also very early. I concern might be that Dwight and the Magic have peaked too early. The second half of the year is more important than the first, particuarly the last 15 or so games.
KG is a solid chance and Duncan and Nash will probably get better as the season progresses. Bron Bron is a media and crowd favourite and will probably be a contendor for the next 10 years. Kobe is also a chance if he can get the Lakers to the playoffs, on talent alone I think Kobe is the number 1 player in the league.
There is always a couple of outside chances aswell, Amare Stoudemire is a guy who seems to be finding some form, if he can play the way he did in the playoffs a couple of seasons back then he will also be in the mix.
The fact of the matter is that there is probably 10-15 guys that are in the mix but as each week goes by that will dwindle. My guess is Howard can't keep it up and ends up around 3rd in the voting behind Bron Bron and KG with Nash and Kobe rounding out the top 5. Just my opinion though.

Dwight Howard has a great chance (70%) of getting MVP honors if his Orlando Magic keeps on winning & he continues to average 23.5 points per game & 14.5 rebounds per game.
Orlando is on to a great start into this young NBA season with a record of 14-3. Largely due to the play of Dwight Howard.
Other contenders will be the big 3 of Boston, Nash, Parker, Boozer
Statistical Point + Wins = MVP Award
Dwight Howard for me is the early favorite to win the MVP award

I think he has a 60-65% chance of winning the MVP as long as the Orlando Magic are one of the best teams in the east. But other than that he has a decent chance of winning MVP. I think Lebron James is playin like an MVP. It depends on how the Magics finish this season.

If Dwight Howard could get his FT% consistently above 70%, there is no doubt he could win MVP. In fact, if he made most of his FT, he could easily be a 40pt 15reb a night guy. Add in almost 3blks and 60% FG....that's MVP type numbers folks.

SLIM! I would rank KG, though Bron Bron has been deadly so far. Steve Nash and Tim Duncan are always on the market. I would probably go with KG, but Kobe sure is due.

As of right now i would rank him neck and neck with Lebron. He has to maintain his play all season, and better his ft. %. But his overall proformance, team record and stats have made him an elite player in the association.

it all depends on how far he leads the magic. if the magic can get to the ECF of NBA Finals, i think he should win MVP. lebron, nash, kobe are some candidates for MVP.

slim to none due to the fact that LBJ is playing so well and the Celtics led by KG are off to a great start, however, he would be in my top 5 along with Kobe
