I didn't mean to offend anyone, And no I wouldn't avoid someone based on their tatooes. I just see people I know with some them look badly drawn and then they seem to regret it.
peoples tats allhave meanings to them i guess.

I like tattoos. I have 2. Both are hummingbirds. One on my shoulder and one in the lower middle back. Some tattoos are very nice. I think when people get too many then it looks bad. There are many tattoos that are very different to say the least, Tattoos are supposed to have a special meaning. I have seen many tattoos that are very beautiful. I love the ones that are pictures of loved ones that have passed on. I think it expresses the undying love that the person with the tatoo has for the deceased. Tatoos do get worse if the skin stretches. Anyone getting one should consider the location and what it will look like when they get older. I personally don't care what mine will look like when I am older.

I won't say that I would never get a tattoo, but there are none that I would want to get now, and I'd think about it for a good long time before deciding to get one. I don't think I would want anything really big, it would probably be small & inconspicuous.

Some tattoos look really good, others look really bad. I think it depends on what the tattoo is, where it's at and how good the quality is. I personally like tattoos with color; too much green & black is boring regardless of the picture.

I have an idea of what I would want mine's to be if I got one, but I know better than to get one. Tatoos aren't my thing. I like how they look on people, but I just don't want that for myself. I have seen my fair share of stretched out tatoos. They look terrible. Trying to fix it only makes it worse, I think.

If done right, I think a tattoo can look really nice. I'm not a fan of a body FULL of tattoos (a few strategically-placed tattoos look better, in my opinion), but to each their own.

Tattoos are just another form of artwork (I've been blown away by the beauty and intricacy of a lot of tattoos), and they don't necessarily look bad on people (just look at Kat Von D - she looks way hot!).

I fail to see what is so philosophical about this question/statement. Maybe you should have posted it in another section of Yahoo!Answers.

I have a tattoo of a turquoise dragon on my right thigh. It is beautiful and I love to look at it. It is a statement of a personal belief.

I love it so much that I plan on getting more, but have to decide of what. It took me a year to settle on my dragon and find one I liked.

When I see someone with tattoos I always study them, because they tell me something about the person who has them.

My tattoo is the most beautiful and interesting part of my body.

When you are old and your skin stretches you'll look unappealing anyways at least when your young you can enjoy a design.
I admit alot of people get stupid tattoos but there are some that can be quite aesthetically pleasing.

well, dude, i understand you. several years ago, i also believe that getting a tattoo is the worse.

now, i believe that getting a tattoo is cool, under certain conditions. if it's just for you to look cool, forget about it. but if it shows your personality, very well.

it still depends on you. now, i really want to have one. it's just, i still don't have enough guts.

Haaaa... way to set up a question. :)

I have 4 tattoos. I don't care what you think of them or me. Let me add this just to see how distasteful you think this is... my tongue is pierced as is my belly button. And, I have the top of my ear gauged as well.

Edit:
I am 43 and most people I know think my tattoos are sexy. :) Again... I don't care what people think about how I look! That is superficial. And if people choose to stay away from me because of them, then those are people who I would like to keep at a distance. I do not tend to surround myself with people who would judge me so superficially. :)

Edit:
Thanks for the clarification, lax. :)
