OOH! no the priest won't have a heart attack no matter what your sins are. thats his job to pray for you and make you a follower of christ.
By confessing you sins you are unloading your burden that you have been carrying for ages and making yourself a new creature. confession is one step to your transformation into a happy life. so dont miss church just because you have more sins everyone is a sinner and we make ourself clean through confession and avoiding repeating the same mistake.
so don't be afraid of going to church and confessing your sins.

The Priest is a HUMAN BEING, just like you and me, and he is made out of the same dust as you and me..he is no better than you, nor me! the bible says "judge not, that ye be not judged"
No PERSON can judge another person!!! ONLY GOD can do that! sorry, i just dont understand catholic way.......
JESUS, GOD, the Father and the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT are the only one who can judge us!
please dont let a priest keep you out of church

No, I don't go to church because I am an atheist.
But I know what you mean about the terrors of confession... I grew up Catholic and was always mortified of the confessional. I'm sure that my parish priest had heard everything I could possibly have said a thousand times, but I was still scared. If I had something really bad to confess, I always went to the church across town where nobody knew me.

I can't believe you avoid church over concern for the priest... I've heard a lot of reasons (many legitimate) for avoiding church, but that's just an excuse. If you don't want to go any more, why do you need an excuse?

I don't avoid church. I'm not catholic though, so I try not to go to catholic churches. All that sit down, stand up, sit down, kneel, stand up, crap really tire me out. I feel more like i'm playing a game of simon says or the hokey pokey rather then learning about God.

I dont go because i hate the business that the church has made Christianity into. Jesus was a good guy, but the church turned him into a brandname.

i dont go bc i cant confess anything, i just dont like to let my feelings out. and i think priests are just another person, not anyone special. so they shouldnt know anything about me
