Although I think there is still sexism and racism, I don’t even think it is worth auguring about anymore because Affirmative Action doesn’t even exist in most states or public schools anymore and I’ve never benefited from affirmative action as a minority or a women. I have earned everything I have on my own.

Also, the civil rights act of 1964 covered blacks and white women.

Affirmative Action laws covered blacks and women of ALL races including white, and the idea was that qualified blacks and women were given an opportunity to interview in situations where they would not be able to due to sex or race discrimination.

No, it's a form of reverse discrimination. The logic of affirmative action was that it would give preferential treatment in the hiring process to minorities. That same preferential treatment trickled down into getting accepted to universities and other areas.

As a result of affirmative action you have people that are being hired for jobs and and attending schools that they aren't qualified for.

I guess the ironic thing about affirmative action is that it used racism to combat racism.
