first off it is an updated gamecube. same processor and graphics card. also no one can make a decent wii game other than nintendo. which means after brawl and mario kart. there is uhhhhhhhhhhh... NOTHING! the wii is a fad and it will go away in a year or so. anyone agree with me?

Yeah, I agree with you. I read an article on Yahoo tech news today that was saying that out of all of the consoles, Wii owners buy fewer games per console than Xbox 360 owners and PS3 owners.

I guess that the majority of people that play the Wii (children and casual gamers) are content with playing games like Wii Sports over and over. And in that article it mentioned something about the Wii being a "fad" and I totally agree.

Nintendo is just holding off shipments of Wii's to make it seem like there is "shortages" of Wii's just to keep the demand high for the console and to keep people interested in it.

The Wii shouldn't even be called a 7th generation console, it's more like a 6.5 generation console.

"also no one can make a decent wii game other than nintendo."

Not true. Capcom already has multiple times. As have Atlus. GC didn't have good third party games because the GC fell behind in sales and thus there was no reason for third parties to focus on it. Wii is not in any situation for that to happen.

As for Wii gamers not buying as many games for it as the other systems: Bull****. How was it then that in June, Wii had a game attach rate close to 5, while PS3 was still under 2? PS3's launch attach rate was under 1, meaning (when you consider people that would have bought more than one game) most people bought it either to eBay it or just as a cheap Blu-Ray player.

In someways, it is like the original gamecube since you can play the regular games like some Zelda games and Mario games, but there would also be differences between the two. A lot of people can tell you that there are major differences between the two such as the wireless remote and then nunchuck (sorry about the spelling) and many more differences.

That's what people (including myself) said last year. "in a year or so, it'll go away".

Well, it's a year later and the Wii is still outselling the PS3 and 360 combined. That also kind of puts a hole in "intentional shortage" theory. They're selling millions every month! They estimated sales of 14 million on the first year and they're at 18 million already -- they simply didn't expect it to sell so well.

Do you actually own a Wii? Don't say things like this unless you've experienced it for yourself.

Kudos you know how these fools work. Xbox 360 will take over than the Ps3 will own all by 2009.
