Just say that you're "getting there" or "healing". You shouldn't have to say anything that isn't true.
P.S. I'm sorry for your loss and pray that you will have peace.

Say your getting along ok, but I really loved my dad, and I'll miss him.
Most should say that their sorry for your loss. You respond "Thank you"
No one should ask how you are doing, that wouldn't make sense. Of course your not doing ok, your dad just passed away...
Anyway, I'm sorry for your loss, remember the good times...

I'm so sorry!
They're just trying to help. They don't know what to say, so that's what they're going to ask. Depending who it is, maybe just say 'Alright' or that you're 'Pulling Through'. If it's a close friend who you can trust, tell them the truth. It can help to talk to someone.
God Bless.

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss. You both will be in my prays tonight.
Second of all... tell people that it's been very difficult, but you're making it through... and thank them for their concerns.
Or you can tell them that you really don't want to talk about it.
