Would it be safe to put medium (blue) loctite thread locker in the worm gears of my guitar to keep it in tune?

I have a regular old dreadnought acoustic guitar that I have to keep retuning. Is it advisable to add some blue thread locker to the worm gears? Loctite is designed to absorb vibration and thereby keep screws from becoming undone, so it should be perfect for this application (obviously, the vibrations from the strings are what cause the tuners to unwind slightly). Also, any other suggestions?

Most of the Loctite brand products will eat into the metal in order to adhere and prevent movement. Continued use will only damage the machine.

Guitars, simply, need occasional retuning, and, the sooner you learn how to do it quickly, the better off you'll be. It's not, just the vibrations loosening the gears that cause a guitar to go out of tune. Strings will stretch and wear out. Locking the machine screws in place will not do you any good, since these other reasons will cause you to retune at some point.

If you think there is something wrong with the machine, then those parts should be replaced. They don't cost THAT much, and the future enjoyment of the instrument should be worth it.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. Reason being room temp has to do with the guitar strings losing their proper pitch as well as vibration. The hotter and more humid it is causes the strings to expand / lengthen and cooler weather, to shrink / contract. Just like electric wires are strung to allow for these conditions along the telephone poles. besides, the more ya play the faster ya get at tuning by ear to where it takes about a minute to "Tune your guitar''. Everyone has to 'Tune in their guitar / String instrument" and the possibility of the neck warping from 'locking Down' the worm gears
