The colour of the eye is due to pigments in the iris.
The formation of pigments is dependent on several enzymes.
If one of the enzymes in the biochemical pathway is missing, the colour may be different. Although the two eyes generally have the same colour but rarely something may go wrong in the formation of pigments in one of the eyes.

Nothing is wrong. It is caused by genectics. In most families, there is one dominant eye color. Blue, brown, green, maybe gray. When you are developing, the dominant color takes over. But in some cases both eye colors are dominant. If you're mother has green eyes and your father has brown, when you're born you'll inherit one or the other. But sometimes both colors take control and you get one green eye and one brown eye.

There is nothing wrong with them! lol! When i was little, i remember some girl had one blue and one really green eye! it was awesome! lol! But i do believe its from genetics. They get that rescesive and/or dominant gene, and there you have it!
