Given a million dollars to make a change in the world, what would you do with it?

You have one million - where would the money go and what would the effect be? (One million obviously is not going to fix the world - but where would this initial investment have the most profound effect?)

That's a hard question. I think I'd pay for a facility to imprison all the politicians in the world.

I know most of the other answers have been about charities and stuff, but charities already get millions, and it doesn't solve the overall problem. To me, it's the fact that the people in power in this world are self-serving idiots who could solve a lot of the world's problems if they wanted to.

I would use it to buy everything I evr wanted then invest it in stock and wait until it gets big enough to take out and then I would donate it to the ASPCA.

I'd set myself up in a nice little shack in the middle of nowhere and avoid everything like an osterich with it's head in the sand.

I would give every penny to George W. Bush and ask him to do with it what he believes would be most beneficial for the world. George Bush knows what is best for everyone. And than, just to thank him for his incredible wisdom, I would get down on my knees and gratify him, though I'm sure he is hung like a horse and would probably choke me with his massive manhood.
